Man, 38 allegedly kills his wife in Lofa County, Liberia on suspicion of extra-marital affairs

A Report from Kokosor in Liberia’s northwestern Lofa County Says a 38-years-old man identified as Hallie James has allegedly beaten his wife, Siah Kendemai to death.

According to the report, suspect James is said to have struck his wife on her forehead, something that left her unconscious.

After the women collapsed she was rushed to the local Boma Hospital in Foya District, where she was pronounced dead on Arrival (DOA) by health personnel.

Her corpse has since been deposited at at Boma Hospital morgue, while investigation conducted so far revealed that defendant James accused the deceased of having love affair with another man who is yet to be identified.

Meanwhile, police have charged defendant Hallie James with murder in violation of Chapter 14 section 14.6 of the new penal law of the Republic of Liberia and he has forwarded to court awaiting trial. 

This is the latest in a wave of domestic violent cases across Liberia, with some of them resulting into deaths and serious injuries.
