NVTI Named Best In Africa By The Business Executive

Monrovia, Liberia –The NetLib Vocational Training Institute (NVT) has been recognized as the best vocational training institute in Africa during the Business Executive Excellence Awards ceremony held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, on November 14, 2024.

This prestigious accolade was presented by the Business Executive Group, an organization dedicated to highlighting outstanding contributions to economic, business, and socio-economic development in the region.

Founded in 2003 by Abdullah L. Kamara in the Netherlands, NVTI has played a pivotal role in bolstering Liberia’s post-war recovery by equipping youths with essential technical skills and vocational training.

The institute operates as part of a larger network aimed at empowering Liberians to improve their lives and communities.

During the ceremony in Monrovia, Kamara expressed his surprise and gratitude, saying, “This was a vision that is now a reality. This award is a step towards impacting knowledge.”

He emphasized that the recognition reflects not only on the institution but also on Liberia as a whole, adding that NVTI will continue to uphold high standards of excellence in education.

In an act of respect for Liberia’s educational system, Kamara announced that the award will be presented to the Ministry of Education and the National Commission on Higher Education.

He also took the opportunity to commend the staff for their unwavering commitment and dedication, urging them to continue setting high standards.

Mrs. Marline Kollie, NVTI Executive Directress, provided an overview of the nomination and selection process, detailing how the institute stood out among its peers across Africa.

Students expressed their gratitude for the transformational education and discipline they receive, with student representative Sam Rogers Jr. promising to uphold NVTI’s values and serve as ambassadors for the institute.

As NVTI continues to forge ahead, it remains committed to its mission of delivering quality vocational training to empower Liberia’s youth and contribute to the nation’s development.

Published monthly since 2014, the hard copy edition of the magazine is circulated across the sub-region through a unique collaboration with the Federation of West African Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FEWACCI) and is also circulated in South Africa, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Canada.

It is read by top-tier government and multilateral institution executives, corporate executives, the entrepreneurial, professional, and commercial classes, academia, the diplomatic community, civil society leaders,s, and international public policy commentators.

They also organize various business forums to enable private enterprises and public institutions such as business regulators and facilitators to network and forge partnerships and alliances with each other they do this on their own and in collaboration with international business groupings such as FEWACCI itself and the Business Council for Africa.
