In Maryland County: 5-Year-Old Fire Victim Needs Further Medical Help

HARPER, Liberia- While looking for warmth, a 5-years-old child, Sarofina Walker fell into  a fire hatch when she was three, leaving her injured in the southeastern Pleebo Sodoken District.

Little Sarofina who is now age 5 is still reeling from the effect of the burn she suffered on her head and her mother says she needs further medical care,

According to the Mother of the victim, Theresa Walker, her daughter fell into the fire in a Village called old Sodoken in Pleebo in 2018 at the age of 3.

Little Sarofina Walker is currently living with her parents in Larma Scott Community, Harper City, Maryland county.

Ms. Walker Mother sorrowfully explained to local Reporters over the weekend that the accident occurred while she was working on her farm.

She lamented that her daughter was given medical treatment by health workers in Maryland but is still facing difficulties in carrying on normal life.

“My people I am tired suffering, I have used all my resources because of this child’s condition, see her condition two years now no support from her father, Theresa Walker explained.

She is therefore appealing to humanitarian organizations and individual to assist in providing proper medical treatment for little Sorofina.

“I don’t have money again to carry my daughter to the hospital, I am from a very poor family. So my people, I really need help to treat my daughter properly, and let me say thanks to the J. J. Dossen Hospital in Harper and the Partner in Health in the County for their efforts made to keep my daughter alive today,” the child’s mother said.
