Liberian pro-war crimes court campaigners hold protest in Monrovia

(Last Updated On: )

A group campaigning for justice and the prosecution of perpetrators of war crimes and crimes against humanity in the now ended Liberian civil war are due to stage a peaceful protest in Monrovia on Monday.

United Nations estimate says that some 250,000 people were killed in this West African country’s senseless civil war that lasted from the eve of Christmas in 1989 to 2003. But to date, those who bear the greatest responsibility for the carnage are yet to face justice.
