KAKATA, Liberia- One of the defendants in the ongoing German national murder trial, James Kollie alias “Depree” has threatened to break jail and free everyone in prison at Kata high.
Mr. Kollie made the threat on Thursday, December 16, 202, in the wake of the trial at the 13th Judicial Circuit Court in this city in Margibi County.
This was brought to the attention of the Assistant Justice Minister for Litigation, Cllr. Wesseh A. Wesseh on Friday morning, December 17, 2021 by the County Attorney, Dedeh Johnson Wilson.
Prison superintendent, Nelson Wuah complained told Assistant Minister Wesseh that defendant James Kollie has been fighting them in the prison and threatening to break jail anytime and free everyone.
The killing happened in Grand Bassa County last January and the case initially started at the Circuit Court in Bassa.

The late Juergen Schedema, Manager of the International Consultant Company (ICC), was discovered dead early Wednesday morning, January 22, 2020 at the back of the log yard, which is located in Big Joe Town – more than a mile away from the port city of Buchanan, some 88 miles from Liberia’s capital, Monrovia.
The prison superintendent further accused the defendant’s legal counsel of communicating with him at night time and even accused him of taking a smart phone to him while in prison. But he said that it was taken from him later.
Defendants Emmanuel Kollie, Joseph Cole, alias Joe Cole and James Kollie are said to have a history of breaking jail in Bong County.
According to Emmanuel Kollie, another murder suspect in the trial, defendant Kollie during police investigation told the police that James Kollie was the leader of the group of armed robbers that attacked and killed the German national.
James Kollie is said to have led the armed robbery and claimed that he was the one who shot the German national during their armed raid on the International Consultant Capital logging company in Big Joe Town near Buchanan City, Grand Bassa County.
The defendants hired private lawyers to plead on their behalf.
Further information gathered by www.newspublictrust.com shows that any moment the accused have a history of taking advantage of any opportunity to break jail and flee to reunite with their colleagues.
The defendants were indicted for the crimes of murder, armed robbery and Criminal conspiracy by the ground jury of Grand Bassa County during the February A.D. 2020 term of court.
Meanwhile, the Assistant Justice Minister Wesseh A. Wesseh has instructed correction officers to always chain James Kollie on his foot and cuff his hands while in detention to prevent any escape.
