Monrovia- Liberia Football Association (LFA) through the FIFA Forward 3.0 Program has embarked on a daylong distribution of soccer equipment to clubs at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium (ATS) in Monrovia.

Items distributed include football boots, balls, agility ladders, cones, huddles, bibs and many other soccer materials.

Presenting the soccer items to club officials in a brief statement, the LFA boss, Mustapha I Raji re-emphasized that clubs in the first, second divisions, and Women’s Upper and Lower Community League Divisions will receive soccer materials through the FIFA Forward Fund as a way of showing solidarity to clubs in the development of football.

The LFA President made a call in the press briefing that the association in consultation with the Executive Committee Members have approved to ensure that the FIFA Forward Fund Program 2023-2026 be utilized in providing equipment for clubs in three years, to improve football at all levels in Liberia.

He said the LFA has ensured to show equipment solidarity for all of the clubs in the country, aimed at assisting and creating opportunities for future players as he promises to decentralize football in all parts of Liberia.

“It is our way of promoting football development. It is not just going to be a single-year basis, but rather a 4year to complete the circle. Every year, clubs will receive equipment from the LFA,” Mr. Raji mentioned.

The FIFA Forward Fund Program is a program introduced by President Juan Fantinho and approved by the council that made it possible, clubs in Liberia are receiving soccer materials to reduce the gap among members around the world and create opportunities for football development.

He said to achieve that, there are key pillars and priorities to have an office by the federation, the second is to own a facility or playing pitch where they can play FIFA matches and the third is to have a functional technical centre Liberia has met the requirements or benchmark.
