ALJA Donates Lap Top, 2 Audio Recorders To News Public Trust

MONROVIA, Liberia-The Public Trust Media Group (PTMG) which runs the www.newspublictrust.com website has proudly received a donation of a Dell lap top computer and two mini tape recorders from the Association of Liberian Journalists in the Americas (ALJA).

ALJA’s Vice President, Pewee Baysah, who is currently visiting Liberia, made the presentation on Thursday, April 22, 2020 at the offices of News Public Trust on Carey Street in Monrovia.

Mr. Baysah, a former Reporter and Producer at the Liberia Broadcasting System (LBS), said the donation was part of a series of logistical support to local media institutions in the country.

The ALJA Vice President spoke highly of the great contributions this news outlet has been making to the development of Liberia’s media landscape since it went online in 2017.

He praised this news outlet for always given voice to individuals and institutions of a wide range of political, social, economic, religious and cultural persuasions including positions of ALJA on national and international issues, as well as demonstrating professionalism.

On behalf of ALJA’s President Joe Mason, Mr. Baysah urged News Public Trust to continue its professional contributions to the advancement of Liberia and the world.

Receiving the donation, the Managing Editor of PTMG, Frank Sainworla, Jr. enormous gratitude to ALJA for his news outlet, which he said is committed to “serving the public with integrity”.

He said the donation of the lap tops and two recorders was timely.

Mr. Sainworla assured that News Public Trust will continue to remain committed to promoting and practicing good Journalism at all times.
