International Community Wants The Farmington River Declaration Respected, As Sen. By-Election Takes Place In Nimba

Joint Statement by International Partners on the Nimba by election.

The International Community remains committed to supporting Liberia’s democratic journey.

As Nimba heads to the by election on April 22, 2025, we encourage all stakeholders to abide by the terms of the Farmington River Declaration and all relevant laws to foster a credible, free, fair, inclusive and peaceful electoral process.

The International Community commends the National Elections Commission, the Liberia National Police and all security agencies for the work done so far and urges all institutions to remain impartial to build confidence in a credible and successful electoral process.

Finally, the International Community urges all citizens to play their role in forging further democratic gains in Liberia.
