(Last Updated On: )

A Liberian Christian cleric says the country is suffering because citizens are “turning their back on God, the creator.”

Rev. Theophilus Sarvice, the Founder and General overseer of the Creative Voice Ministries International described his compatriots as “unserious, deceitful and wicked because they are far from God”, something he says is responsible for the backwardness of the country.

Liberia is the oldest independent African country, which celebrated its 170th independence anniversary on July 26, 2017.

‘’Many of our leaders today go to churches and still misbehave at the national legislature not recognizing the creator,’’ Pastor Sarvice noted.

’’Today in Liberia, no respect for God even men of God because no more fear for God and still done know God,’’ the Lib.

He added that Liberians minds are not transformed despite all of the resources the country has, yet the country still remain poor because Christianity has become enemy to many Liberians.

The local pastor noted that Liberia is lagging behind as a result of bad foundation and the 21st century Christians in Liberia are not willing to transform their mind toward the country.

He said it important at this critical period were natural disasters is taking place over the world for Liberians to get close to God for everlasting glory.

’’Liberia as a nation has lost its identity and value to the devil which he said is gradually killing the success and destroying the youthful or the future generation in the country,’’ Pastor Sarvice said.

“I observed that Churches that should bring unity and teach the gospel in Liberia, is today fill of division, envy  and publicly disgracing Christianity to the unbeliever in the country,” the Liberian cleric noted.

He however called on Liberians, especially Christians to put their trust in God and live a life that will serve as the light to the nation..

“The only time we as Liberia can really serve or rush to church is when we are in problem and need quick solution to our problems. I say to you do not give out on God ,keep the faith and stand firm we are in the end time and do not look up to man,” Pastor Sarvice added..
