Man Found Dead In A Well, After Complaining He Squandered His Boss’ Money

TAPPITA, Liberia- Inhabitants of Tappita in Liberia’s northeastern Nimba County were sunned recently, after a 42-years-old man was discovered dead in a well, nearly 338 kilometers from Monrovia.

Gontorwon Menlor is a resident of New Tappita community near a filling station the man works.

According to family sources, Mr. Menlor left his home at 3:00 Monday morning and was found dead in a well at the back of his gas station on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at about 1:00 PM.

The dead man was manager of the ADM Gas station. The gas station is owned by renowned Nimba County businessman, Adonis Menlor who is a brother to the deceased.

Gontorwon’s body was discovered after he had gone missing for a short period. Earlier, the deceased is said to have complained about him mismanaging his brother’s money.

According to the medical report given by Dr. Momolu Massaley of the Jackson F. Doe Hospital, the deceased died as a result of excess fluid.

“The guy actually died as a result of excess fluid. This shows that he got drown in the well,” Dr. Massaley said.

At the same time, the head of the 12-member coroner’sBac jury set up to view the man’s corpse disclosed that this body had no mutilation.  The man is said to have thrown himself into the well.

“From our findings, we are sure that the late Gontorwon Menlor threw himself in the well and no part of his body was extracted,” said the coroner’s jury.

Back in 2016, the deceased predecessor, Morris Gonkarnue shot himself in the head, after also complaining that he had squandered his boss’ money.
