Ruling CDC Presses For Executive Order, Ahead Of Weah’s 2nd Term Bid Endorsement

The ruling Coalition for the Democratic Change (CDC) has reportedly resolved for the issuance of executive order to all presidential appointees in government to report to the headquarters of the CDC on a daily basis after working hours, in preparation for the nomination of President George Weah on December 17, 2022.

CDC, which came to power after winning the 2017 presidential election, is frantically preparing to face a barrage of opposition parties and candidates in the October 2022 polls, which is just 12 months away.

The Chairman of the Presidential Nomination Committee of the CDC, Montserrado County Representative, Thomas Fallah disclosed that President Weah is expected to issue this directive purposely to afford officials of government participate in the preparation of the mobilization process.

Rep. Fallah made the disclosure on Thursday during a mass meeting with a cross session of partisans held at the CDC headquarters in Congo Town late Wednesday.

According to him, several leading officials including him will be leaving for northwestern Liberia, Mulbah Morlu will be leaving for the southeastern region and Andrew Peters will also be heading a group to Rivercess County as a part of mobilizing the partisans for the nomination ceremony.

He explained that Liberians all over the world will be holding similar program simultaneously including those in the United States, Australia among others.

Rep. Fallah assured the national executive committee of the CDC that he will perform the task given with success because this is not the first time under such responsibility.

For his part, the National Chairman of the Coalition for Democratic Change, Mulbah Morlu, announced the lunching of the dollar rally on November 12,2022 at the headquarter of the CDC in Congo Town.

According to him, ordinary members of the CDC are expected to give one United States Dollars while those who are gainfully employed are expected donate more in order to take ownership of the nomination ceremony.

The CDC National Chairman explained that the dollar rally is in commemoration of the November 7th, police raid on the headquarters of the party when it was in opposition.

Morlu claimed that the CDC is a political organization that is owned and financed by the ordinary people as it is not funded based on fund taken from the government fund.

He said those who do not have United States Dollars can donate the equivalence of 150 Liberian Dollars a d it will go a long way in strengthening its operation.

The program was graced by a cross session of people from the government, private sector, Montserrado County and its environs.
