FLASHBACK: Late LRA Audit staffers Albert Peters and Gifty Lama
The Liberia Revenue Authority has expressed shock over the gruesome attack of one of its employees late Monday evening, but the employee is thankfully still alive..
Information available to the LRA shows that employee, Moses Jallah, was attacked around 8pm, Monday around Nyanfor town, patience shop, community, Gardnersville, a press release from LRA said on Wednesday, May 11, 2021.
Memories are fresh about the mysterious deaths of three LRA employees last year, including Albert Peters and Gifty Lama whose lifeless bodies were discovered in a vehicle on Broad Street in central Monrovia.
Mr. Jallah is a staff of Customs and works with the anti-smuggling unit. He was just recently assigned at the free port of Monrovia, as part of the Destination Inspection (DI) sight team.
The Destination Inspection sight team of LRA anti-smuggling unit usually inspects containers Onsight.
The family has reported the case to the Liberia National police and the investigation has begun.
The Liberia Revenue Authority empathizes with the family and wishes Mr. Moses Jallah speedy recovery.
According to Family sources, Mr. Jallah has been stabilized and is currently receiving treatment at a local health facility.
The LRA strongly condemns such cruel act meted against peaceful citizens.
