GBARNGA, Liberia- Hundreds of Electorates in Bong County, particularly in District #3 have declared support for Representative Josiah Marvin Cole’s re-election bid, ahead of the 2023 elections.

In separates interviews with this Correspondent, the citizens stated that Rep. Cole will maintain his seat based on the level of developmental work he has done and continue to do for his people in the county.

Their support follows rejection of the incumbent Representative’s bid in some quarters.

According to them, what the lawmaker has done for the district and its people since his ascendency at the national legislature in 2017 is uncountable, and as such he will be rewarded comes 2023.

Emmanuel Sumo, age 31, a resident of Daniel town in district number three said that he is satisfied with the performance of the lawmaker.

He said, “I promise you that come 2023 hon. Cole will win again. We can’t afford to miss this good man who loves and cares for his common man”.

He wants people of the county give their lawmaker a second chance in order to complete some of the developmental project (s) that will not be completed under his first six (6) years term which was given to him by Bongese in 2017 elections.

For Alfred Spencer, another down to earth supporters of Rep. Cole, the lawmaker deserves to be given a second chance. According to him, the Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) lone Representative in the County has worked beyond expectations.

“Last week, see what this man did for the people of Gbarnga. This lawmaker distributed over 100 bags of rice to the elderly women, paid over $250,000 Liberian dollars as fees to the Ismael Massaquoi Vocational School for his 509 scholarship students who are currently undergoing training in Driving, Catering, Masonry, Tie and Die, paid over $300,000LRD, 12 sets of jerseys and 10 footballs to organizers a month-long soccer tournament in the Brooklyn Community in his honour,” Mr. Spencer said.

All the participating teams received a set of jerseys and 2 footballs plus 10.000LRD. Winners and Runners pocketed 100.000LRD and 50.000LRD respectively.

He didn’t stop there. He went ahead and provided 100,000LRD to the senior students of Bakalu Senior and Elementary School as a Saturday class fee, paid over 100.000LRD to some senior students of Arther SDA School as a way of fulfilling his promise to them”.

One of the lawmaker 509 students attending at the Ismael Massaquoi Vocational School praised hon. Cole for showing her the way to become self-reliance. She is grateful to the Representative Cole for providing them the opportunity to go and acquired knowledge in order to help themselves.

For that, she has also vowed to encourage her family and friends to vote for their son comes 2023 Elections.

In a related development, the office of the District #3 lawmaker has embarked on the distribution of over 1,000 bags of cement to several towns and villages including learning institutions in Gbarnga.

Institutions and communities to benefit include, David-Ta Public School, Cotton Tree Public School, Weinsue City Hall, Jennepleta Clinic, Motorcyclist Terminal, among others.
