Gbarnga, Liberia- A Vocational Skills Training program to benefit thousands of citizens across Bong County has been launched by the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Prince Kermue Moye with World’s Bank funding.
Citizens of Bong has commended Representative Moye for recently launching the project, which is expected to help build Liberia’s struggling economy, when utilized by its utilization by beneficiaries.
According to the Deputy Speaker, who represents Sinchue electoral District #2 in Bong County, said the facility of the vocational school is a US$500,000.00 project funded by the World Bank through his initiative.
Even though the facility was constructed by the World Bank, the Liberia’s Deputy Speaker has taken the full responsibility to sponsor programs or courses that will be offered at the school.
Some of the course that will be offered include, computer science, soap making, Agriculture, carpentry, missionary, cosmetology amongst others.
According to the Citizens many of whom are young people described Deputy Speaker Moye’s and partners gesture as a downing of a new day in their lives.
They said the program is important because it will break the york of poverty and further create a growth mindset not only depending on farming activities for their survivability.
During a program in early this year, Montserrado County District #3 Representative Cebee Barshell, who served as Guest Speaker, expressed complicit confident and happiness over te work of the Liberia’s Deputy Speaker.
Rep. Barshell said the vocational school will help inhabitants of the District and the County by extension.
The Montserrado County Lawmaker told the citizens at that vocational skills launching program is very important maintaining if an individual has vocation skill, he or she becomes independent and also serves as an employer for others.
The Montserrado County Lawmaker, owner of the Barshell University near Monrovia, pledged his fullest support to the Sinchue vocational school adding the school will serve as a restoration of the citizens lost hopes.
Senator Yallah made an initial contribution of thirty Thousand Liberian Dollars to the vocational school.
Former DEN-L boss, Madam Dorothy Torman promised to support the school by volunteering to council the students.
For his part, Deputy Speaker Prince Moye committed himself to provide the entire funds for the first phase of the three-month training program.
The administration of the school had earlier presented a budget of four thousand six hundred and fifty United States Dollars to Hon. Moye for the first phase of the program.
At the program, Representative Moye provided one thousand United States Dollars and promised to give the remaining as soon possible as doing so will ensure the effective operation of the school.
The citizens in a joyous mod said Representative Moye will be forever remember in the history for positively imparting the livelihoods of underprivileged Liberian struggling to meetup with end means.
“we will continues supporting this honorable man as long he live, he have no regret in having him as our leader representing us at the national legislature since 2012 in the lower house,” Joshua Mulbah, a resident of Sinchue stressed.
Mr. Mulbah said with the zeal the Bong County Lawmaker has in moving the county forward in the area of human resource and infrastructure developments there is a special needs to honor him as the hero for reconciliation, Unity, as well as Father of the County.
