EPS Threatens To Withdraw Security Protection From Any VIP Threatening National Stability

In an apparent reaction to recent warning from former Vice President Jewel Howard Taylor and other opposition officials that Liberia could descend into chao, if President Joseph Boakai doesn’t respect the rule of law, the president elite security force, EPS has threatened to withdraw security protection from any VIP threatening national stability.

EPS, the Executive Protection Services, issued a strongly worded press release saying that “will withdraw security protection from any VIP protectee who publicly advocates for insurrection, rebellion, or violent protest against the government of Liberia.”

Local media reports recently former Vice President’s prediction of chaos comes in the wake of the recent ruling of the Supreme Court of Liberia in the impasse at the House of Representatives. The impasse has been over attempt to remove embattled Speaker J. Fonati Koffa and the illegal sitting of the self-styled Majority Bloc of the House headed by District #11 Representative Richard Nagbe Koon.
