In Buchanan, 14-Year-Old Female Minor The Victim

The Second Judicial Circuit Court in Buchanan City, Grand Bassa County presided over by its Resident Judge, Joe S. Barkon has sentenced a female student, Faith Paye of the Christian High Community to 12 years imprisonment for the crime of gang rape.

The Judge handed down his sentence at the weekend.

Survivor of the rape is a 14-year-old female who was gang raped on Palm Beach, Upper Buchanan, Grand Bassa.

The case was tried by jury and the defendant, a 23-year-old female was found guilty on July 5, 2023.

According to the court, the incident led the 14-year-old victim to lose her virginity.

Convict Paye pulled the victim in the water, opened her legs, and another person, male, forced the victim in sex. But the other defendant, Quincy Boy is still on the run up to date.

Defendant Paye and Quincy Boy, who is at large were indicted by the Grand Jury of the Second Judicial during the May A.D. 2023 term of Court and the case was advanced on the Court’s Docket for trial in the same May Term.

The incident took place on the Palm Beach at Upper Buchanan, Grand Bassa County on January 17, 2023.
