Former Foreign Min. Gbehzohngar Findley Files Divorce Suit In Court

TEMPLE OF JUSTICE, Monrovia- Liberia’s former Foreign Minister Milton Gbehzohngar Findley, who was defeated on the ruling CDC party’s ticket in the December 8, 2020 senatorial election, has filed an filed in for divorce at the Civil Law Court in the Liberian capital to end their over 20 years of marriage.

Both Findley and his estranged wife, Kaddiyatu Darrah Findley, who was Special Assistant to former President Charles Ghankay Taylor, were married during that era.

According to a Writ of summon issued on Monday, January 18, 2021 by the Sixth Judicial Civil Law Court says the former Foreign Affairs Minister divorce action against his wife is as a result of incompatibility of temper.

The writ of summon added: You are hereby commanded to summon the above named defendant of the city of Monrovia in the above entitled cause of action to appear before the Sixth Judicial Civil law of Montserrado County sitting in it’s March term A.D.2021 at the hour of 10am to answer to the complaint of the plaintiff (Milton Gbehzongar Findley) and that upon her failure, judgement by default will be rendered against her.

You are also commanded to notify the said Defendant or respondent to file her formal appearance and or answer in my office before the 20th of January A.D. 2021.

Meanwhile, Mrs. Darrah-Findley has been ordered by the Court “to return the original writ of summons to the sheriff office on or before the 20th of January 2021 with the official returns endorsed on the back thereof as to the manner and form of service.

Divorce cases in Liberia and across the world have been rising in recent times.
