Frank Sainworla’s News Public Trust Launches Print Edition Monday

(Last Updated On: )

Monrovia, Liberia – In addition to its online service, the Public Trust Media Group (PTMG) headed by Liberian Journalist Frank Sainworla, Jr. former Station Manager of Radio Veritas, will launch the print edition on the local news stands on Monday, March 2, 2020.

PTMG is a multimedia outlet committed to promoting the public good and upholding the public trust.

The launch of the print/hard copy edition comes two years after the www.newspublictrust.com website was established. It was during this period that it won the Press Union of Liberia (PUL) best Online Newspaper of the Year—2019/2020 for its balance and credible coverage of news and information from across Liberia.

In a press release, Journalist Sainworla said the launch of the print edition comes weeks after his news outlet received permit from the Ministry of Information to operate a daily newspaper in Liberia in January this year.

But in the wake of the dire economic conditions in the country, he said that News Public Trust Newspaper will initially appear twice weekly on the market—Mondays and Thursdays. And it will gradually roll out into three times a week and subsequently daily.

Exclusively funded by personal resources of Journalists, we are risking our meagre resources in investing into the local media industry at this time, due to our life-time commitment to furthering good Journalism.

As an independent newspaper, News Public Trust will be void of political and ideological cleavages and the management hopes that Liberian and international residents will patronize it.
