GBARNGA, Liberia-Attorney Jonathan N. Flomo, Bong County Chief Prosecutor has urged Journalists to promote peaceful election and make their reports inclusive.
He warned the media not to allow themselves to be used by politicians to preach disunity through hate speech and what he called aggressive comments.

“As media men and women, you have a role to play in helping to elevating and lifting the voices of the ordinary people by focusing on the issues and avoiding the personality,” the Bong County Atty.
“When people who are not supposed to talk speak and they are speaking, you should step up and condemn them. When someone who has represented his or her people either at the House of Representatives of at the Senate goes out and begins to preach violence, you have a role to stop them, which is why you are referring to as the Watch Dog in the society,” Atty. Flomo said.
“You will have to allow the voices of our people be heard, irrespective of their tribes, religious or political affiliations. Remember that election will come and go, but we all are going to stay right here during and after the process. The will of the people will prevail in this election comes October 10th, as the National Election Commission is working very hard to get things done. If we are going to have very peaceful, free, fair credible, and a well-conducted election, then you shall not allow yourself to be used by politicians to cause confusion,” he noted.
