HARPER, Liberia- Pathologists have arrived in Maryland County to conduct Autopsy on the remains of two students who recently died mysteriously in this southeastern county.
Anthony Tiaka, a senior student of the Tubman University was discovered dead in his own bedroom on July 3, 2022 in Pleebo City, while little Levi Koffa who got missing on the 18 of July, was later found dead in Lake Shepherd Harper on July 20, 2022.
The two mysterious deaths here have sparked series of protest my women and youths demanding justice. And heightened tensions in the area led Maryland County Superintendent George Prowd to recently cancel official celebration to mark the 175th July 26 Independence Anniversary of Liberia in the area.
Addressing a group of Reporters at the Samuel Hare’s Funeral Home in Harper one of the Pathologists Benedict B. Kolee assured that the process will be done perfectly on the two Corpses.

“It’s my joyfulness to arrival here in Maryland County, I want to assure you the citizens of Maryland county that the Autopsy that will be conducted will establish the cause of the death of the two Students, but please be informed that we are not here to tell you who killed them, but to find the cause of their death,” the Liberian pathologist explained.
Dr. Kolee said after the conduct of the autopsy on the two bodies, the result will be announced after or within two weeks.
“Our objective here in Maryland County is to establish the scientific cause of the two alleged mysterious deaths (late Anthony Tiaka of pleebo and little Levi Koffa of Harper) Dr. Benedict B. Kolee, team head assures citizens of factual reports within two to three weeks period,” Dr. Kolee added.
Several organizations including Civil Society groups, National Security in the County, the Media, the family of the deceased, Youth groups amongst others were invited to witness the process of the Autopsy at the Samuel Hare’s Funeral Home.
