Kakata Businessman Identifies With Fire Stricken C.H. Rennie Hospital, Others

In the aftermath of the fire disaster at the only referral government hospital in Kakata, Margibi County, C.H. Rennie, a local businessman in the area, Emmanuel Yarh has identified with several the hospital and other groups fighting the COVID-19 pandemic.

On August 15, 2021, the C.H. Rennie Hospital was gutted by fire, with a large section of its facilities including the surgery department destroyed.

The donations, made in Kakata recently, include zinc, rice and other items

Making the presentation, businessman Yarh said that the gesture is  based on their request  for assistance.

“Given has always been  my happiness that is why my team and I decided to share with you this little gesture as our county and country faced with during this troubling period,” Mr. Yarh said. He is also Chief Executive Officer of the Emamuel Yarh Foundation.

Mr. Yarh put thee monetary value of the items at LD $82,000.00. The current exchange rate here is now 170-171 Liberian dollars to one United States dollar.

Other beneficiaries include the Liberia Christian Association of the Blind (CAB) on the Bong Mines Road adjacent the Central prison, 2 bundles of zinc; Women Peace Network (WIPNET) on the Bong Mines Road, 8 bags of 25kg rice; Old folks around the Carter High  Prison Compound, 8 bags of 25kg rice; and the Blind in the New Kakata Community  2 bags of rice.

Speaking on behalf of one of the groups, Moses Kpakala lauded Mr. Yarh and his team for the timely intervention, especially the disabled Community and promised that the items donated will be used for the intended purpose. Another beneficiary thanked Mr. Yarh for the gesture and said that God would multiply his resources.

During the resurgence of the COVID- 19 recently, businessman Yarh and team donated  of anti COVID-19 materials to several clinics or hospital, which they put at over USD$30,000.00h in Kakata and its environ June 23, 2021.

The Yarh Foundation has also been helping marketers at the General Market in Kakata with zinc for shelter for dry goods sellers and used clothes seller cash donations.
