The group works mainly in the area of education in Rivercess and other counties.

It began operations in Rivercess in September 2018.

In an interview with www.newspublictrust.com, the County Coordinator of KEEP, Seccdaka Jarkah said his organization’s aim is to train people of various categories in different skills that will prepare them for self employment.

Mr. Jarkah said over 200 persons mainly women, school-going children and Teachers have benefited from its programs.

KEEP is supported by the India government and other partners in the implemeting their programs.

But according to Mr. Sceedaka, due to slow down in donor support, the group is currently left with only two programs in Rivercess, which include computer training and Reading and the girls clubs.

The KEEP coordinator noted that after graduating two successive classes, the NGO has slowed down the product making, pastry and tailoring programs.

The two programs are being carried out in Darsaw Town Public School, Government Central Elementary and Junior High School, Timbo Public School, Gbehdiah Town Public School, Tompo Town School and the Yarpah Town Public School.

He said 143 girls from the six schools are currently part of the girls clubs, which objective is to create awareness on gender related issues.

For the computer programs, he said there are 160 persons including teachers and students who are enrolling into the program.

Meanwhile, Mr. Sceedaka said enrolling people who are family people is a major challenge the group is encountering.
