Maryland County Back In The Throes Of Ritualistic Killing

HARPER, Liberia- As the dusk to dawn curfew remain in force here, Moses Mlamah, the alleged murderer of motorcyclist Mordecail Nyemah  has confessed that he was among three men who killed his friend, Mordecail Nyemah, age 23 last week and it was done for ritualistic purpose.

This area has a history of ritualistic killing activities but such practice has eased in recent times.

Nyemah’s body was discovered in the commercial city of Pleebo during the morning hours of Thursday, March 25, 2021, something that triggered a wave of violent riot both in Pleebo and the Maryland County’s capital, Harper. President George Manneh Weah this Thursday imposed curfew in the area, after security reinforcement was dispatched to this southeastern county.

The www.newspublictrust.com has gathered that the late Mordecail Nyemah was murdered along the Maryland-Grand Kru highway and his motorbike was stolen

Suspect Moses Mlamah said in a video interview that he was sent by man identify as Daniel Wesseh who based in Tipolian Camp Barrabo to get blood for reasons he didn’t disclose.

“We were three Person who actually kill him but the other two guys (open zipper and Francis Klah) ran away and his spirit kept embarrassing me so,I went to a nea by town to buy Sweet Biscuit and Kalao to eat and drink but unfortunately I only met Kalao on ground so I bought to bottles and drink all on the spot”

Mlamah disclosed that while murdering the late Mordecail Nyemah, blood flash on his traser and so when he went to buy the Kalao and biscuit, she was asked by the lady of owns the shop “what kind of blood on your trousers? Then he replied by saying, “I mistakenly kill a baby cow.

“After few minutes this woman contacted some guys from the town who followed me to see the dead baby cow but before arrival at the scene, I told them that it was human being I Kill, but I was not alone who did it ,they guys quickly involved the police and I was arrested.”

Suspected ring leader of the killing on the run

Moses Malmah lamented that one Francis Klah, who was on this way to destination was not initially party to the operation but met him (Moses) along the road and promised to help him carryout his work quickly.

“I give Francis 7,000 Liberian dollar and cold water to help carry-on the act but at the end they all ran away and left me there”

Malmah was placed behind bars last Thursday for his alleged role in murdering Mordecail Nyemah at the Harper Central Prison awaiting Court trail in August of this year. But the prison itself was broken into and vandalized by angry protesters, causing scores of inmates to flee.

Suspect Moses Mlamah, age 18 is currently on the run according to a press Statement from the office of the Maryland County Attorney, Attorney Philip Wheagar released yesterday afternoon, April 1, 20221.

The statement noted that about 91 inmates, who were placed behind bars at the Harper Central Prison, are currently still on the run,

The Liberian government through the Ministry of Justice is calling on Marylanders who are harbouring any of the fleeing inmates from the Harper central Prison to immediately turn them over to the Justice Ministry.

According to the Maryland County Attorney, the Joint Security in this southeastern county are working variously to restore total clam and normal activities in the affected areas.
