Mob Violence Again: Man, 30 Allegedly Killed In The Name Of Mob Justic

BUCHANAN, Liberia- A man believed to be in his early 30s only identified as J. Boy has allegedly become one of the latest victims of mob justice in Liberia, amid the rise in mob violence across the county.

J. Boy was discovered dead in a pool of blood in the port city of Buchanan, some 93 miles from Monrovia recently.

His dead body was seen lying in the middle of the main road at the intersection of Gunnigar Town opposite the Before Town Community leading to Tubman Street in this coastal city.

Next to his corpse were bundles of electrical wires and cook pot, with his penis chopped off. This www.newspublictrust.com  Reporter gathered that the deceased was stoned, and hit with stick until he gave up the ghost.

According to eye witnesses, the late J. Boy was a notorious criminal who been in the habit of allegedly terrorizing people and stealing valuable properties including electrical wires.

On Sunday, August 22, 2021, a man identified as Dyujay Vambo was also found dead in the dark forest field community in Buchanan.

The dead man had a knife, cutlass and scissors with bundles of electrical wires as well.

According to a 15-man coroner jury, the late Vambo died from electrocution.

Residents of Dark forest field Community told this news outlet that the deceased was a criminal and he went out to steal current wire and met his death.

The community dwellers said that the late Vambo was however strange to them.

Police have turned over the body of the late Vambo to his immediate family for burial.

Meanwhile, the deaths of J. Boy and Vambo have brought to five the number of individuals who have died recently from both mob violence and electrocution in Buchanan in recent months.
