The grounds of the Temple of Justice in Monrovia was over the weekend the scene of protest by women said to be mothers of trafficked children in Liberia.

Their protest was staged as an executive of a company, Destiny Group was being convicted for trafficking two children to the United States some time ago.

Record in the possession of the Defense for children showed that 550 Children were taken away from Liberia to the United States of America illegally.

Among the 550 kid, 32 children came from Todee suburb of Montserrado, while the rest came from Gbarpolu, Bong, Cape Mount and Grand Bassa Counties.

In 2006, Edwin Walker took his two children from their mothers illegally and brought them to Marian Morgan owner of Destiny whose normal business is to buy children and take them to the United States for reasons unknown.

The mothers of the trafficked children, over ten in number, threw the Destiny CEO, Marian Morgan Luyken to the ground and held her legs for over thirty minutes, as they cried out to bring their children she took from 2005-2006.

The women have been protesting on the ground of the Temple of Justice, demanding Marian Morgan to bring their children she took from Liberia in the name of helping under privileged children and sending them to school.

According to them, Madam Luyken went to them saying that there is a Christian organization that helping parents who can’t afford to send their children to school and “the orphanage home was being operated in Liberia under false pretense.

They further alleged that since Marian Morgan took their children to the United States of America without their consent from 2005-2006, they have never communicated with their children but Marian always giving them photos of their children.

After being held by the trafficked children’s mothers for a period of time, she was forcibly taken away from the protesters by court officers at the Temple and placed in the cafeteria of the Judiciary for her safety.

After she was taken to the cafeteria, the trafficked parents of the trafficked children then blocked the entrance of the cafeteria, demanding her out.

At the same time, the parents of the trafficked children say they are planning to file a law suit against Marian, as she was being found guilty by Criminal Court ‘B’ for in another child trafficking case involving two children that she illegally trafficked to the United States.
