Motorbike Accident Kills One Person, Another Wounded In Buchanan

BUCHANAN, Liberia- A tragic motorcycle accident in Buchanan has resulted to the death of an unidentified young man who is believed to be in his early 20s.

The accident happened on Wednesday evening (October 13, 2021) at the Sayepue Hill in Buchanan.

According to eye witnesses, the unidentified boy, who was riding motorbike, was trying to dodge   another motorbike coming from the opposite direction but the two collided, which caused his death.

The eye witnesses said that the two motorbikes were on high speed and they both ran into each other.

The Medical Director of the Liberian government hospital in Buchanan, Dr. Moses Weidehgar told www.newspublictrust.com that the man died as a due to severe wound to his head.

Dr. Weidehgar explained that the boy died upon arrival at the hospital due to how critical he was when the incident occurred.

The Medical Director said that the other bike rider is undergoing Medical treatment at the Liberian Government Hospital in Buchanan.

The dead victim is yet to be identified by friends, and family members.

According to him, the body is at the hospital to be released on today, Thursday to the government if no one identifies him.

Meanwhile, the Police through its Traffic section in Buchanan have started to investigate the circumstances that led to the involvement of the two commercial motorbikes into accident.

Police in this port city also assured the public that they will make sure to provide details on the names, and communities of the bike riders.
