A prominent Liberian based in the United States of America of Bong County, David K. Flomo has strongly opposed the formation of Political Parties Coalition and Collaborations in the country.

Mr. Flomo saod on his official Facebook page that, since the concept of political parties coalitions in the country, all it has done for the country and democracy is primarily producing compromised government for the benefits and protections of “crooks politicians of coalitions.

He said they perpetrate corruptions, bad governance, unaccountable government, and undermined democracy”.

Therefore, Mr. Flomo asserted that for the sake of the country, democracy, accountability, transparency, good governance and definitive presidential choice for the voters and the citizens should fight for the stand-alone political party concept for 2023 elections.

“It’s time for dismantling and breaking up the coalition political parties of Coalition for Democracy Change, Coalition of Political Parties and Rainbow Coalition.

These back doors and funny political parties arrangements for powers have failed us” he argued.

He added that the CDC coalitions of Liberian People Democratic Party of former speaker J.Alex Tyler, the National Patriotic Party of Vice President Jewel Howard-Taylor and the Congress for Democratic Change of President George Manneh Weah must break up and field presidential candidates for 2023.

Mr. Flomo said the same goes for the Collaborating Political Parties (CPP) which include Unity Party of former Vice President Joseph N. Boakai, Alternative National Congress of Alexander Cummings, Liberty Party of Senator Nyonblee Karnga-Lawrence, and the All Liberian Party of businessman Buenoi Urey, as well as the eleven (11) political coalitions of the Rainbow coalition should be dismantled and field presidential candidates in the 2023 general and presidential elections.

In his words, Mr. Flomo said that these, “dismantled political coalitions” will have the opportunity to join other emerging stand-alone Political Parties such as the People’s Liberation Party of Dr. Daniel E. Cassell, and the People’s Unification Party of Sen. James Emmanuel Nuquay and many others.

“As you’re aware, many of these political parties of the coalitions and stan- alone Parties and their leaders have won Presidential and house elections in the country and are capable of running on their records for the voters to make informed decisions.”

“Henceforth, I am asking leaders and partisans of coalitions parties to consider dismantling these coalitions and provide opportunities for voters and citizens to make definitive choice for presidential and house candidates because of the standard bearers’ visions and records,” he added.

According to him, this will strengthen Liberia’s democracy and opportunity to hold a stand-alone political party accountable for good or bad governance of the country.

“Be proud stand-alone party partisans, instead of coalitions’ partisans and proudly cast your vote comes 2023,” Mr. Flomo added.

He concluded that the various coalitions of political parties remind him of a snake with many heads and child with too many fathers and mothers.
