PUL Mourns Loss Of Another Journalist

Death has again hit the Press Union of Liberia (PUL).

A PUL press release issued Tuesday, June 6. 2023 says it has learned with profound sadness the death of Journalist Augustine T. Tweh.

The late Journalist Tweh was on Sunday, June 4, 2023 discovered dead at his Pipeline residence in Paynesville. The Union is shocked by his death news, especially when there was no notice of illness.

Many weeks ago, the Liberian Journalism union lost another young media practitioner, Naway Gumeh of the Liberia Broadcasting System (LBS) after a brief illness.

The PUL in its release regrets his death and extends her deepest sympathies to the Bereaved families and the journalism community.

Augustine Tweh, worked for the FrontPage Africa Newspaper as Judicial Reporter, Assistant Managing Editor of the Triumphet newspaper and served as Vice President for the Association of Judicial Reporters.

The Union is urging everyone to take courage in the Lord, noting that Journalist Tweh will be missed for his contribution to the Journalism profession and the country at large.

The PUL released signed by Assistant Secretary General, Akoi M. Baysah, Jr. ends by saying, “may his soul and others faithfully departed rest in peace”.
