Ruling CDC Party Chairman Admits There Are Some Ritualistic Killings But…

The Chairman of the ruling Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) party, Mulbah Morlu has admitted that there are cases of ritualistic killing in the country, but some of the cases reported are not true.

Addressing a press conference in Monrovia earlier this week, Mr. Morlu cautioned the Liberia National Police to be robust in investigating these allegations of ritualistic killings, because some of them are not true.

The CDC Chairman said the coalition does not support the taking of lives of anybody for any purpose because it constitutes the violation of the law and create fear in the country

According to Mr. Morlu, the Liberia National Police should ensure that nobody is killed and should also investigate all remorse ritualistic killings in any part of the country to reduce the fear of the people.

He said the coalition wants to see these wicked, devilish and barbaric people bent on taking another lives of people brought to justice if they are caught

“Ritualistic killings will never be allowed to happen under this government,” he adding: “because the party is comprising grassroot people who themselves suffered these activities in the past.”

At the same time, the CDC Chairman has expressed concern about the increase in the rate of false alarms on ritualistic killings by some individuals in several parts throughout the country.

Mr. Morlu claimed that some of these false alarms are raised purposely to crease negative image about the country to the international community.

“The same way we condemned ritualistic killings when they occurred, we are also swift to condemned false alarm that are stage-managed to create negative image of the government,” Morlu told the press conference.

Morlu said: “ the problem has been the delay on the part of the police  investigating such false alarms has create the spring-board for the propagandists to spill things out of control and makes government looks bad.”

“I am glad that the police is becoming robust in investigating these false alarm so that the security of the state cannot be compromised in-still fear in the ordinary people,”

Not worried: CDC will win 2023 elections

Meanwhile, the CDC Chairman has called on supporters of the CDC not to worry about the 2023 presidential and legislative elections but to showcase the success of the regime in six years.

According to him, the supporters of the CDC have been criticized because they are jealous because the collation is not established to exist for just 12 years ; they know the re-election of President George Weah is necessary to sustain the success of the grass root experiment.

Mr. Morlu pointed out that the coalition will be re-launching the blue revolution where all supporters and partisans of the National Patriotic Party, the Liberia People Democratic Party and the Congress for Democratic Change will have to come out of their comfort zones in preparation of taking the party’s identification card.

Concluding, the CDC Chairman indicated that the first person who will taking his ID card will president George Weah.
