Lawyers And Party Litigants Witness A Fist Fight Between Two Men

The grounds of the Temple of Justice, the seat of the Liberian Judiciary, has been turned into a boxing ring.

It was on Wednesday afternoon March 22, 2023, when lawyers, party litigants witnessed former the driver of the immediate past Chief Justice Francis Korpkor, Nathaniel Gray and a man in a fist fight. The man only identified as “Baboom” is believed to be mentally ill.

This Reporter was told by eyewitnesses that the fighting erupted after driver Gray began to chase away “Baboom”, who is a regular visitor on the Temple of Justice grounds.

Eyewitnesses revealed that “Gray went to this regular visitor who always visits the Temple of Justice asking people to transport him back to Sinoe County to leave grounds of the Temple of Justice on several occasions which angered this regular visitor causing him to jump into a fist fight with the former chief Justice driver.”

The man in question is regularly seen on the grounds of the Judiciary always asking people for assistance and transport far to go back to Sinoe County in southeastern Liberia.

Eyewitnesses further told this news outlet that although this regular visitor is not a staffer at the Judiciary, he usually spends his entire day at the Temple of Justice seeking help from people.

Court security officers were unable to prevent the nearly 20-minute fight from happening.

However, officers of the Liberia National Police later moved in and broke up the fight, after which the man known as “Baboom” was later handcuffed.
