UNICEF-Edu Ministry sign MOU to support early childhood development

Liberia’s Ministry of Education has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) to support Early Childhood Development and Water and Sanitation for Health (WASH) in schools across the country.

The agreement was signed in Monrovia at the weekend.

In signing the MOU, UNICEF expressed its continued support for the Ministry of Education to improve the quality of learning in Liberia, an Education Ministry press release said.

Education Minister Professor Ansu D. Sonii, Sr. expressed profound gratitude to the team from UNICEF for their support.

Prof. Sonii pledged the Ministry’s commitment to work collectively to achieve the objectives of the agreement.

UNICEF is one of the Education Ministry’s key partners, providing crucial support for Early Childhood Education.
