Monrovia, Liberia – Despite the planned “lead or leave now” protest organized by STAND, this www.newspublictrust.com Reporter has observed that normal business and public activities have continued across the Paynesville to Sinkor corridor from early this morning Friday, July 17, 2026.

Police Inspector General, Gregory Coleman said in a statement yesterday, Thursday that the right to peaceful protest will be fully respected but warned that the Executive Mansion, the seat of the Liberian presidency is NO GO AREA.

Commuters, businesses, street vendors, and motorists have largely gone about their daily routines, with no major disruptions reported in the areas visited by our news team.

Traffic has remained steady, while commercial centers and public institutions continue to operate as usual.

Our reporters remain deployed across key locations to monitor developments and will provide timely updates should the situation change.
