Lofa County Senator Stephan J.H. Zargo has presented sanitation materials to the Voinjama City Cooperation or (VCC), fulfilling a promise made some time ago.

The items, which were presented earlier this week in the Lofa County provincial capital, include ten pieces of wheelbarrows and ten pieces of empty drums.

Making the presentation on behalf of the Senator, Mr. John Sorebah disclosed that the materials are in fulfillment of the senator’s pledge to the Voinjama city cooperation during the launch of the “Weah for Clean City” Project in the city of Voinjama.

According to Mr. Sorebah, the Weah for Clean City Project undertaken by the VCC is considered highly commendable by Senator Zargo’s office, something he said is important to keeping residents of the city healthy.

Receiving the materials, Voinjama City Mayor, Madam Korto Harris said the VCC was very glad that the Senator has fulfilled his pledge to the city cooperation.

She said the VCC will work in collaboration with all citizens under the Weah for Clean City Project, so as to not only keep the city clean but to create job opportunities for the youths.

Mayor Harris said that the project seeks to improve the living condition of the citizens and as such the VCC intends to purchase a garbage truck that will help to keep the city clean.

“We will also educate our citizens on how to stay healthy; and to do so we will need the support of all of you our citizens,” the Voinjama City Mayor said.

Mayor Harris also commanded the First lady of Liberia Mrs. Clar M. Weah for providing 20 begs of the 50kg rice for the start of project in the city of Voinjama.
