Woman, 25 Sent To Court For Allegedly Stabbing Boyfriend To Death

TEMPLE OF JUSTICE, Monrovia- Police here have sent a 25-year-old women to court, after she allegedly stabbed her boyfriend to death in the wake of a fist fight early this month in Careysburg on the outskirts of the Liberian capital.

Ms. Korline Jackson, age 25 allegedly fatally stabbed her boyfriend, Jae Dainue during a fight on June 9, 2021.

Police charge sheet says: in violation of charter 14, sub charter A section 14.2 of the revised penal code of Liberia, defendant Korline Jackson, a resident of Lofa Community Careyburg was arrested, informed of her constitutional rights, investigated and subsequently charged with the crime of manslaughter ,for recklessly causing the death of victim James Dainue with a blue handle kitchen knife on June 9 2021 at about 9:00pm.

During Police in-depth investigation conducted to establish facts and circumstances which led to the death of James Dianue, the charge sheet says: details enquires and information revealed that on June 9 of this year suspect Korline Jackson went at the Red Light Market to purchase food items ,while there she met her boyfriend now Victim James Dianue at the Market and he later brought her back at the house, while Victim James Dianue and suspect Korline Jackson were returning from Red Light Market to the suspect house, the Victim asked the suspect to visit him on the same day of the incident ,but the suspect told him that she will visit him on the next day June 10 2021.

 The Police investigation furthered uncovered that suspect Korline Jackson and James Dianue were lovers but were not living under the same roof.

Accordingly during their relationship, suspect Jackson resided at her parents until the child became one year old, while Victim James was supporting Korline and their daughter and was visiting them constantly.

Investigation also revealed that Victim James Dianue was a Motorcyclist,who was residing in the Forestry Development Authority Bernard’s Farm Community.

Additionally, investigation revealed that after Victim James Dianue dropped Suspect Korline Jackson at her house he left on that same day, Wednesday June 9,2021 during the evening hours( between 9:00 to 10:00pm), Victim James Dianue came back to her house and knocked at her door while she and her mother (Gbanjay Kayakollie) were in bed, when she came out of the room it was her boyfriend James Dianue at the door.

He (James Dianue) is said to have asked her to go with him at his house but Suspect Korline Jackson refused on grounds that her baby was breast feeling, and she couldn’t leave the baby with her mother, moreover she has already told him that she was going to visit him the next day.

The victim demanded that she go with him at his house that night, in the process the Victim got angry and he started pulling her from her room to the kitchen and they started to tussle, tussling the Victim knocked the suspect down to the ground and started to beat on her. She (suspect Korline Jackson) was able to get hold of the kitchen knife from the dishes that was in the kitchen and she used the Kitchen knife to stabbed the Victim who is now deceased.

Police investigation also revealed that Victim James Dianue was over her suspect Korline Jackson when she stabbed him on the left side of his stomach.

The investigation also unearthed that in the process of Suspect Korline Jackson, stabbing the Victim the Suspect dropped the knife and rain outside to call people within the community and they rushed the Victim James Dianue at the Omega Community Clinic. There he was later pronounced die by the doctor on call, while Korline Jackson was immediately taken at the Omega Police Station and placed behind bars.
