Monrovia- The Yana Boys Association of Liberia is urging President Joseph N. Boakai to take immediate action against government officials he deems detrimental to the interest of the Liberian people.

Speaking at a news conference recently, Emmanuel Kabakole, President of the Association expressed concerns that if the Unity Party government is not addressing the issues affecting the Liberian people, and that it risks losing the support of Liberians by the next election in 2029.

Mr. Kabakole described certain officials as “bad apples” undermining the “Unity Party Rescue mission” to serve the populace.

The Yana Boys Association’s President has warned that failure to act could lead to widespread disillusionment and even rebellion among citizens.

“If it causes us to die, we will die for standing up to the right things,” he asserted, emphasizing the organization’s commitment to advocating for the people’s interests.

The Yana Boys Association is adamant about standing alongside the Liberian populace, pledging to support any actions taken against a government perceived as failing its duties.

Mr. Kabakole highlighted numerous “missteps” within the administration that require urgent presidential intervention to restore governmental integrity.

Commenting on the ongoing crisis within the House of Representatives, where allegations around Speaker J. Fonati Koffa’s leadership have sparked discontent.

Kabakole implored lawmakers to reach an amicable solution to the challenges that are currently hindering government functionality, stressing that both factions must prioritize the country’s welfare.

In light of the escalating tensions, the “Majority Block” in the House has formally invoked Article 33 of the Liberian Constitution to convene an urgent legislative session amid concerns regarding Koffa’s lack of confidence among the majority of lawmakers.

With over 40 lawmakers actively seeking Koffa’s removal, the impending session could decisively impact the legislative landscape in Liberia.

Meanwhile, the Yana Boys Association is calling on religious and civil society groups to intervene to avert what he called, potential national collapse.

As the political atmosphere remains charged, Kabakole emphasized that Liberians are watching closely, urging government leaders not to take their needs and desperation lightly.
