4 New Confirmed COVID-19 Cases In Liberia, But No New Death

(Last Updated On: )

At the end of the first week of the latest in a series of 14 days Stay Home restriction and State of Emergency, Liberia has recorded four new confirmed Coronavirus/COVID-19 cases, according to the National Public Health Institute (NPHIL) COVI-19 Update.

“#LiBCOVID19 Case Update: 4 new confirmed cases (Montserrado 3, Sinoe 1), No new death, and 2 new recoveries (Montserrado) reported as of 10:00 PM, May 28, 2020.”

The latest stats come as the government relaxed the restrictions by extending the hours allotted for people to be in the streets and conduct businesses from 3PM-6PM GMT.

Although the Liberian government and Health experts have urged people to abide by basic safety protocols such as wearing of nosemask, this is being largely ignored, as thousands of people are seen moving about in the main streets of Monrovia and in communities without mask. Many of those seen with mask are seen with it below their chin.
