A Liberian Gospel music icon, George Klorplue Kaydor commonly known as “K-Praise” has been appointed and awarded as Global Peace Ambassador in the category of Global Diplomat by the International Association of World Peace Advocates Global of the Eminent Peace Ambassador of the United Nations.
The International Association of World Peace Advocates is a global non-governmental group and a participant in the United Nations Global Compact.
“K-Praise”
Its objective is to promote peace and harmony in various local communities across the globe and to ensure that the aims and objectives of the United Nations in the maintenance of global peace are being achieved.
The association is a body of concerned global citizens whose interest is to promote universal peace, and a just and inclusive society within the United Nations to ensure that all classes of people in our society are carried along on the schemes, programs, and policies of the United Nations.
It networks international and regional organizations and recruit people of decent ethical manner as Eminent Peace Ambassadors through effective screening of nominations with special regard granted to personalities whose efforts are evident in making peace and providing benevolence to orphanage children, widows, and the elderly.
Mr. Kaydor, also known as “K-Praise”, was among twenty-three recipients of the eminent Peace ambassadors across Africa and was named, appointed, and honored at the just-ended International Women’s Day celebration in Nigeria.
But speaking Monday May 6, 2024, ahead of the official decoration and award ceremony in Liberia, Mr. Kaydor noted that the ceremony will be attended by his Royal Eminences, Archbishop Dr. Benny T. Danson, International guest from Nigeria, Prophet Festus Akhidenor of Nigeria, and Bishop Catherine Balogun of Nigeria among other officials from Liberia including Dr. Sammy David Country Director International Association of World Peace Advocates Global of the Eminent Peace Ambassador of the United Nations.
“K-Praise” maintained that the official decoration and award ceremony in Liberia is expected to take place this Saturday, May 11, 2024, with several officials of government expected including President Joseph Boakai, House speaker, chief justice, and pro tempore of Liberia.
‘’This appointment and award took me as a surprise, I did not know about it, it came as a shut. I was surprised when I saw it but I believe that it was a time and it is a blessing for me and to my nation Liberia again, it is a way of motivation and a way of saying Ambassador George Klorplue Kaydor do more,” he said.
According to him, the appointment and award will serve as an inspiration for him to do more in peace, and education and to continue his charitable initiatives across Liberia.
Ambassador Kaydor however, called on young people in Liberia not to give up on their dreams but urged them to keep focus and get engaged in positive initiatives nothing that they are the future leaders that the country depends on.
‘’Keeping the peace is the major thing that young people should engage in peace and do away with violence and address whatever concern in a professional and positive ways,’’ the Liberian Gospel music icon added.
The K- Praise Foundation Africa which was established by Ambassador George Klorplue Kaydor has over the years engaged in Peace advocacy, education, music, and the donation of food and non-food items to vulnerable groups in Liberia including baby mothers at the John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital in Monrovia.
