A Man Sent To Court For Allegedly Sodomizing An 18-Year-Old Male In Harper

In Liberia’s southeastern Maryland County, a 24-year-old man is currently facing charges for allegedly committing the crime of sodomy, after he was arrested and charged by the Police just before the new year, 2023.

The Women and Children Protection Section of the Liberia National Police Maryland County Detachment, headed by its regional commander Chief Inspector Leona Gaye on Friday December 30 the man identified as John Smith for allegedly sodomizing an 18-year-old male teenager.

Medical report from the James Jenkins Dossen Memorial Hospital, said the victim was penetrated in her anus, the Police charge sheet stated. The victim is currently responding positively to treatment.

According to the police charge sheet, the eighteen (18) years old adolescent girl on Monday December 26, 2022 at 11:28AM, reported to the Women and Children Protection of the Liberia National in Harper City, and alleged that she was sodomized by a twenty four (24) year old John Smith who is popularly known as (Sex and Pay), who is residing in the UP Cape Community in the abandoned home of the late Liberian president William V.S. Tubman, that is housing majority of the alleged illicit drugs smokers and is also considered as the primary criminal hideout area in Harper City. The victim disclosed to the police that the alleged criminal act was committed by John Smith (Sex and Pay) and one Sunday Boy, to be identified on Sunday December 25, 2022 at 11:30 PM in UP Cape Community.

The victim further explained that she went on the eighteen (Maryland Avenue) to celebrate her festal season, while standing in front of the entertainment center the 24 years old suspect went to her alone with his friend identified as (D Slide) and asked her if she wanted to drink and she told them that she never wanted to drink, later the suspect and his friends went behind the club and later returned on the road and asked the teenager again if she wanted something to drink and she said no but they told her to follow them behind the club and she did.

The victim narrated that when they went behind the club, she asked them for energy drink (which is one three 3x) and he John Smith bought one for her after drinking it the her stomach started hurting and she immediately informed the suspect that her stomach was hurting her and she wanted to go home and the suspect agreed to carry her home because they are friends. But the victim disclosed that while they were going suspect John Smith instructed the bike rider to go to the old embassy in the Up Cape Community and she said no she was going to Stadium right away, the suspect warned her to behave herself.

In furtherance the 18years old noted that when the bike rider left them the twenty four years old suspect mandated the victim to take off her clothes at the time he had piece of mirror in his hand. According to her when took off her clothes, the suspect took her clothes from her and instructed her to bend down and she immediately obeyed because she was afraid of being stab with the piece of mirror he had in his hand.

Meanwhile, police charge sheet has disclosed that the suspect was duly acquainted with his constitutional right before he was investigated. According to the state security investigation suspect John Smith alias   Sex and Pay voluntarily admitted to the allegations level against him and to the investigators that he and the victim are loving for the past two months.

During the investigation the suspect claimed that he was very drunk on that day. He was charged and forwarded to the Harper City Magisterial Court for preliminary investigation where he was later transferred to the corrections center in River Gee Fish Tow due the lack of prison facility in Maryland County.
