A German National and Chief Executive Officer and general manager of the International Consultant Capeter (ICC) known as Juergen Schedemann, alias Youkee has reportedly been shot dead by suspected armed robbers in Big Joe town, Grand Bassa County in southeastern Liberia.
The coastal county of Grand Bassa is some 88 miles from the Liberian capital, Monrovia.
The incident is said to have happened at 1:30 am GMT on Wednesday and the local Police Commander in the area, James Kartoe has confirmed the incident to this Reporter.
According to eyewitnesses, Saah P-Early, one of the security on duty disclosed that about 1:30 am, 13 armed robbers wearing masks, trooped into the logging company’s compound in Big Joe Town. They came from the back of the company and entered into the building and first tied the four security officers who were at the front gate and took them into a room along with some other staff of the company.
Witness Early said they were taken into the room by the robbers they lacked the door on them from outside but luckily for them one of the staff has spare key for the door and locked it inside for their own protection.
The armed robbers then went in search of the general manager Schedema and boost his door and window and him out of his bed room and shut him on his left side and his stomach and dragged his lifeless body near an outside bathroom within the company facility.
Eyewitness account show that the robbers appeared to have only been after killing the manager but did not touch any of the staff.
Another eyewitness, who preferred not to be named, told this paper that she received call from her bosses that she should go and pack his things from the compound, because armed robbers had enter the place and no one else the robbers was after but only the manager.
The armed robbers also entered the finance office, but they did not take any money.
The big question remains why were the armed robbers only after the General Manager?
Meanwhile, the local police Commander, James Karto said no arrest has been made into the gruesome killing of German National. Jueden Schedema who had come to invest in Liberia and create jobs for many Liberia for over ten years.
