Monrovia, Liberia– The Center for National Documents and Records Agency (CNDRA) Director-General, Emmanuel A. Lomax has extended International Women’s Day salutations to all women in Liberia and the world.

In his Internation Women’s Day greetings, Mr. Lomax said: “I salute all those women that are making meaningful contributions towards the development of the globe. As we commemorate the 2022 International Women’s Day, let us sustain women’s dignity, and provide them equal opportunities.”

The CNDRA Director General also disclosed that his administration is committed to empowering women by providing them the opportunities to serve their country in various leadership positions at the National Archives of Liberia, a press release from his office said on Monday.

The campaign theme for International Women’s Day 2022 is “Break the Bias”, whether deliberate or unconscious, he said bias makes it difficult for women to move ahead. Knowing that bias exists isn’t enough. Action is needed to level the playing field.

International Women’s Day (IWD) is celebrated annually on March 8 to commemorate the cultural, political, and socioeconomic achievements of women.

Purple, green and white are the official colors of International Women’s Day.

Purple signifies justice and dignity, Green symbolizes hope, and White represents purity, albeit a controversial concept.
