Coronavirus Rising Tide In Liberia: 2 New Deaths, 26 New Confirmed Cases In One Day

(Last Updated On: )

There appears to be no letup in the rise in the number of Coronavirus infections in Liberia, with the National Public Health Institute (NPHIL) recording two new deaths and 26 new infections in 24 hours (July 5-6, 2020).

More deaths are now occurring in Health facilities and the killer virus has now spread to almost all of Liberia’s 15 counties.

With a total of 41 deaths so far, the number of confirmed cases has gone up to 917, in the wake of the sharp decline in the level of adherence to basic health protocol by the Liberian public.

A limited number of people are seen wearing face/nose mask in public places, as hands washing has largely faded into oblivion in most communities.
