Writ Wants To Know Whether The 53rd Legislature Approved Printing Of billions

TEMPLE OF JUSTICE, Monrovia- Criminal Court C at the Temple of Justice has issued a writ of subpoena AD- Testificadum /Duce’s Tecum on Former Speaker Emmanuel Nuquay and the Clerk of the House of Representatives, Mildred Sayon in the ongoing Central Bank of Liberia 16bn Liberian Dollars case.
The Writ of Subpoena AD- Testificadum/ Duces Tecum issued on the former House Speaker said, he is expected to appear in court and testify to the second printing of the money whether the House of Representatives ever passed a resolution regarding the printing of the ten billion Liberian Dollars in 2017 to replace the legacy banknotes in circulation.
The court said failure on his part to appear before it as mentioned above shall leave the Criminal Court ‘C’ with no other alternative but to hold him for contempt of court for their disobedience to its.
While, the Clerk of the House of Representatives Mildred Sayon is also expected to appear and produce the minutes of a hearing conducted by the House of Representatives involving the alleged missing 16 billion Liberian Dollars banknotes saga with the then Executive Governor, Milton Weeks in 2019.
The Clerk of the House is to also testify to a communication written under her signature and secretary of the Senate J. Nangbolor F. Singbeh Sr. Executive Governor Weeks of the Central Bank of Liberia.
Criminal Court ‘C’ has said failure on their part to appear before court as mentioned herein shall leave the court with no alternative but to hold them for contempt of court for their disobedience.
Grand Gedeh County Senator H. Marshall Denis was also Subpoenaed by Court. But he gave an excuse that he was not feeling well and he was advised by his doctor to take a rest before he attend to public duty.
A writ of subpoena AD Testificadum is a court summons to appear and give oral testimony for the use at a trial.
On the other hand, Joseph K. Jallah senior legal counsel of the Central Bank of Liberia, J. Nangbolor F. Singbe Secretary of the Liberian Senate, former Director of internal audit Adolphus D. Fokpah were Subpoenaed by the court and they have all testified recently in the ongoing trial of the 16 billion Liberian Dollars banknotes.
Those former Central Bank of Liberia officials who sre indicted and currently on trial by state are David M. Farhat, Elsie Dossen Badio, Kollie Tamba, Milton A. Weeks.
The former CBL officials are currently on trial for the crimes of theft of property, economic Sabotage, Fraud on the internal revenue of Liberia, misuse of public money, property or records.
Others are theft and or illegal disbursement of public money, criminal conspiracy and criminal facilitation
Meanwhile, Melissa Emeh trial has been separated from the rest of the CBL officials who are currently on trial.
