COVID-19 Donations in Monrovia And Gbarnga Benefit Many

As the fight against the COVID-19 or Coronavirus continues in Liberia, a number of groups and individuals continue to donate relief supplies, with two being in Monrovia and the central Liberian city of Gbarnga.

The Wilfred Sammy Ghanyea Goodwill Foundation has Donated  one hundred and thirty bags of 25kg Rice , three bundles of Zinc and  plus cash donation to Patriotic  Grand Gedeans  residing in Monrovia and Grand Gedeh County.

The items are valued US$2,570.00 as mean of identifying with People during the time of lockdown and Providing Humanitarian Services, because of the  Coronavirus Pandemic Outbreak in the Country

The WILFRED SAMMY GHANYEA GOODWILL FOUNDATION  is  Non Political ,Non-Religious  and Non Profitable Organization that is engaged  into renderings humanitarian assistance to people back in Liberia. And It prioritizes and focuses on emergency cases that will makes significant impact on the lives our People and the headquarters is located Woonsocket  City Rhode Island,United States Of America.

According to the organization’s Chief Executive Officer,  Mr. Wilfred Sammy Ghanyea, 65 bags of 25 kg Rice was donated to the Naio Community in Monrovia and its environs as an initial Contribution  of  Dr. William Towah and another   65 bags of 25kg Rice was donated Dr. Boyee Barwu by a Dentist and a Medical  Doctor based in Minnesota USA.

Mr.Ghanyea told www.newspublictrust.com that all of these Rice came in because of Negotiation ,we are voluntarily doing this for the Common Good of our People during the time of the Lockdown due to the Coronavirus .

”Based on Negotiation with Professor Dr. William Towah the Foundation was given 65 Bags of Rice 25kg as initial Contribution   to the Foundation for the Naio People In Monrovia, Dr. Towah  aslo  discussed the Wilfred Sammy Ghanyea Goodwill Foundation with another Priotic individual Dr. Boyee Barwu based in Minnesota also donated 65 bags of 25kg Rice and was Channel through the Foundation   and was deliver to both Gbarzon and Tchein Districts in Grand Gedeh County on May 7.2020.

“We were able to give these things to our People because of my negotiation by the Foundation Chief Executive Officer, Mr.Wilfred Sammy Ghanyea.”

He said the 65 bags of Rice donated by Dr.Barwu was presented to the Chairman and Chairlady through the  (WILFRED SAMMY GHANYEA GOODWILL FOUNDATION) Representative in Liberia Mr. Sylvester B. Nah .

Tchein District Chairman, Mr. Lawrence Quiah disclosed that Mr. Wilfred Ghanyea is the first person to come to their aid without political intention or ambition.

Mr. Quiah pleaded with the Foundation Representatives to extend his gratitude to the Organization CEO   for initiating such Foundation that People will benefit from.

The WILFRED SAMMY GHANYEA GOODWILL FOUNDATION in March of this year donated 40,000 forty thousand Liberian Dollars to buttressed the Liberian Government efforts to purchase drugs for the Janzon Clinic, Naio Clan Gbarzon District.

According to the group, this is done in March of every year, WSGGF  also made available three bundles of Zinc  value 200 USD to Mr. Morris Boahn to reroof his house that was destroyed by rainstorm along with several other houses in Barnersville. The amount of 120USD was also presented to some Naio Citizens in Monrovia (Matadi )to purchase Rice for themselves and 10,000 ten thousand Liberian Dollars to Naio Zarhi base in Bawaydee Naio,Grand Gedeh County .

NYI Donates Anti-Covid-19 Materials To Several Communities In Bong Co.

GBARNGA, Liberia- In continuations of the Nasser Youth Initiative (NYI) efforts in buttressing national government and partners combat the novel coronavirus pandemic in Liberia, the organization has begun distributing anti-coronavirus materials across Bong County.

Materials distributed include, hands washing buckets, tide soaps, Clorox, among other things.

The distribution started in lower Bong County benefiting several towns and villages.

During the distributions tour, NYI Chief Executive Director, Mohammed A. Nasser encouraged the citizens to make maximum use of the materials presented.

“Always keep washing your hands, avoid crowded places, do not touch your face with an unclean hands because our health people say doing so will exposed you to the virus, ” he said.

He told the citizens and residents that one ways to curtail the coronavirus is regularly washing their hands, adhering to social distancing and avoiding crowded places.

Since the emergence of the Covid-19 pandemic outbreak in Liberia, the NYI through its CEO Mr. Nasser has been on the frontline creating awareness among Liberians, especially Bongese on the observance of the health protocols and social distancing.

His awareness campaign has also been visible through the erection of various bill boards across the county and other social media platforms.

He noted that the pandemic has not only taken away lives but gone to severely cripple the world’s economy, with Liberia being no exception.

The NYI boss believes when citizens of the county come together with one mind and goal especially creating awareness will save the county from the virus.

Nasser maintained that the fight against the Coronavirus pandemic in the Country is everybody’s business. He added, “I am therefore urging all of you here to take seriously this disease as we all continue to fight this humanitarian crisis in our country.”

Mr. Nasser promised to extend his humanitarian gesture to other communities in the County.

The distributions continued in Gbarnga, Zota and Panta, Jorquelleh 1&2, Kokoyah, Boisen, Kpai, Yelequelleh, Tokpahble, among others.

He called on Liberians to let go of politics on this issue and focus on the observance of all health protocols that are required to contain, combat and curtail the Coronavirus disease in Liberia.

“Observe the health protocols, in a country where state of emergency or lockdown or any restriction is introduced, follow the conditions outlined , Stay safe because we need you tomorrow and always, ” Mr. Nasser encouraged citizens.
