Imposes LD 500K Fine, Bans Liberian Musician, “Christoph” Over Indecent Performance For One Year

The Ministry Of Education (MOE) this week imposed Five Hundred-Thousand Liberian Dollars fined on ST. Theresa Convent Catholic School for what its refer as a ” serious breach ” of student protection standards and at the same time banned popular Liberian Musician and Social Media influencer, Christopher Christoph Nyenga alias ” Christoph the Change for year over indecent performance on the school premises.
According to a release by MOE dated Wednesday February 25, 2026, the ministry took a decision after investigation which found that an inappropriate performance involving indecent exposure by the Liberian Artist during a recent school event before students amounted to a failure of duty of care and supervision, in violation of national child safeguarding regulations.
It can be recalled in the early part of the month of February, the Liberian Musician was hired by the administration of St. Theresa Convent to perform during a musical concept of the institution with a straight regulations or instructions of songs to play before the mass of students but things did not go as agreed according to the school administrators, the artist decided to play a song of his choice resulting in indecent and inappropriate performance that went viral on the social media bringing the school and education sector to serious disrepute.
After the incident, the ministry immediately communicated to the school administrators to attend a scheduled disciplinary conference which according to the MOE Statement refused to honor the invitation and at the same time failed to provide written justification for their absence, further breaching statutory requirements under the Education Reform Act and the Code of Conduct for Liberian Schools.
The MOE further stated that As part of the enforcement action, the Ministry fined the institution L$500,000, payable within 14 days and orders mandatory disciplinary proceedings against responsible staff, with documented evidence to be submitted for review and in the same vain Imposes one year ban on the Liberian Rapper not to be seen around any school for musical concept in order to avoid a reoccurrence of would be violator.
Meanwhile, The school has also been directed to issue a formal apology, submit a corrective action plan, and coordinate student counseling with the Montserrado County Education Office and emphasized that student safety remains non-negotiable and warned that violations will attract strict penalties
