From Scores Of People For Visas That Never Came, With False Flyers Created

TEMPLE OF JUSTICE, Monrovia-The Religious Advisor to former Liberian President George Manneh Weah, Rev. Emmanuel Nimley has spent the weekend behind bars at the Monrovia Central Prison, after Monrovia City Court ordered his incarceration or alleged theft of property.
City Court Judged Ben Barco on Friday June 7,2024 sent the Weah-founded Forkay Klon Fellowship Church’s Pastor to jail in connection with a dubious visa scam.
According to the police charge sheet, complainant Mono Fortune jr reported to the Liberian police that on August 6, 2023, he came in contact with Rev. Emmanuel Nimely who is the head pastor of the forkay klon fellowship Church and a founder of the organization named Global Spiritual Cleansing peace and Reconciliation, who deceptively informed him about a program called, Healing Broken hearts of Australia Reconciliation Conference and crusade in Australia the United States of America.
Mr. Fortune alleged that defendant Emmanuel Nimely collected three thousand five hundred United States dollar’s (3,500USD) from him under the pretense of providing him with an Australia visa to attend a church conference.
The complainant Fortune narrated that, defendant Emmanuel Nimely also collected nine hundred and seventy (9,70 USD) from ninety persons on grounds that he was going to issue them Australia visiting visa in order to enable them attend a Church conformance in the USA.
The police charged sheet noted, When Emmanuel Nimely was quizzed by police investigators, he admitted to the victims’ allegations levied against him and explained that, eighty (80) person’s registered for the program and the amount of nine hundred and seventy (970USD) were collected per person as a visa processing fees for the conference in Australia.
Defendant Nimely at the same time told police investigators that, due to his failure to provide the visiting visa to participants and at the same time cannot refund their money, the victims got angry and contacted the Liberian National police and he was arrested on June 2nd of this year and taken to the central headquarters of the police for investigation.
It was gathered during police preliminary investigation that, Global Spiritual Cleansing peace and Reconciliation organization is a religious organization owned by defendant Emmanuel Nimely that is involves with conference’s prayer meetings and teaching about peace and Reconciliation.
Despite the above named organization is been involved with conferences, prayer meetings and teaching about peace and Reconciliation but police investigation gathered that, the organization is involved into other dubious activities such as organizing foreign conferences.
The Investigation furthered uncovered that, in furtherance of the dubious activities by defendant Nimely, he organized a scam visa program for five (5) days from December 5, 2023 to December 9, 2023 conference in Australia which created a false flyers with image of Liberia, Kenya and Australian flags bearing the theme; Healing the Broken hearts of Australian Reconciliation Conference and crusade.
It was also gathered during investigation that defendant Nimely faked the organized conference lured about ninety (90) person’s and collected nine hundred and seventy (USD 970) United States dollars per person for visa and other accommodations fees.
The charged sheet further explained that, the organization opened at Liberia Bank for Development and investment (LBDI) branch adjacent Lone Star cell MTN head office in Congo Town, with account titled Global Spiritual Cleansing peace and Reconciliation.
That investigation also gathered that, the amount of forty thousand five hundred (US#4,500) United States dollars was transferred to a purported foreign account titled *visa store* through LBDI Bank.
Meanwhile, the alleged act by defendant Mimely is in violation of chapter 15, Sub chapter D, section 15.51, 15, chapter, Sub chapter E section 15.72, of the revised penal law of the Republic of Liberia.
