Fear Of Insecurity Rises, As Liberian Police Report 2 Mysterious Deaths

Dead woman discovered in the 72nd community

The Liberia National Police on Monday, March 1, 2021 confirmed what residents had reported earlier–that the bodies were discovered at the various bodies and how they die remain a mystery. In similar incidents in the past, the perpetrators of the deaths have not been identified, in cases where they were highly suspected to have been murdered.

In the early hours of Monday morning, March 1,2021, residents of the 72nd Community along the SKD boulevard road on the outskirts of Monrovia woke up to death news of a 46-year-old female identified as Florence Massaquoi, who hailed from the GSA Rock hail community.
But the Police through it spokesperson Moses Carter said they are currently conducting a forensic on the remains of deceased Massaquio at the Mourine Kepart funeral service in Caldwell, which was upon by family members of the deceased to take the body to funeral Service mentioned above.
The LNP spokesperson disclosed  that after the discovery of the deceased, she was taken to the Police clinic in the same 72nd community where she was pronounced dead by health practitioner.
In another development, the LNP spokesperson said an unidentified male was discovered dead in the Zaza community in Monrovia’s Paynesville suburb also early Monday, which created serious panic and tension in the community, but LNP officers were deployed in the area to maintain calm.
The dead male was said to be killed as a result of mob violence and his name is still unknown. But Investigation is currently ongoing to reveal what exactly led to his death and tracing of perpetrators.
Meanwhile, the LNP spokesperson has assured that that within the next 24 hours, the forensic report of madam Massaquio will be out to the public and the LNP will do its best to bring the perpetrators to brook, if any.
He however complained of the lack of mobility, which he said is seriously hindering the operations of the Police.
Mr. Carter has called on government and partners to come to their aid of the national police, in order to a have safer communities.
