Fiancée of Slain Journalist Chris David Recalls Last Time They Were Together

In an interview with www.newspuublictrust.com, Bennetta Singbe the fiancée of the Journalist Chris David, whose bullet-ridden body was discovered in Gbarnga, Bong County over the weekend, said when they were last together he was in a good mood, as the Liberian National Police launch a homicide investigation.

And that was Thursday, October 30, 2020, a day before the Radio Paraclet Journalist’s body was discovered on the Lofa Road in Gbarnga.

Bennetta said he brought her from the town of Palala outside Gbarnga on Thursday and told her that he was going on traffic—something he usually does when he is not on duty at the Catholic-run radio station.

The late Journalist David and his Fiancée have been together for the past seven years and have two children.

Bennetta told News Public Trust media via mobile phone, that when her Fiancée went to do his commercial motorbike chores, he sometimes stays overnight.

But he usually informed her about in which town would sleep.

That was not the situation on Thursday night, But on Thursday that was not the case, untile news broke on Friday afternoon that a body that was discovered near a swamp around the Regional Security Hub along the Lofa road.

Apart from being a journalist, he was also a traffic motorbike rider, his fiancée explained.

Police in Bong County have meanwhile, launched a search for the alleged killer(s) of Journalist Chris David.

Eyewitnesses said he was was discovered lying down in a steam of water around the Regional Hub along the Lofa road.

It is believed that he shot dead but the kind of gun used is not yet known.
