FPP, Both ENDS call for action on criminalisation of indigenous peoples

(Last Updated On: )

FPP and Both ENDS have provided a submission for the UN Special Rapporteur on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, Vicky Tauli-Corpuz, as a contribution to her crucial thematic report on the criminalisation of indigenous peoples.

The submission explores the underlying drivers of criminalisation, including denial of the land and resource rights of indigenous peoples, and calls on urgent action from governments, the United Nations and private actors to ensure that indigenous peoples are protected from criminal charges in the exercise of their rights.
