BARCLAYVILLE, Liberia– A three-year-old boy child, who was reported missing on Friday here in the Grand Kru County’s capital, has been located by the Liberia National Police ubharmed, police authorities have confirmed.

The child, Sebastian C. Geekor, was reported missing at about 1:45 p.m. by his mother, Ms. Cecelia M. Darloh, 26, a resident of Camp 3, Barclayville, after efforts to locate him at his daycare school proved unsuccessful.

According to the police, the child was taken to school earlier in the day by his uncle, Patrick Wallor. Due to an early closure announced by the school administration, parents and guardians were advised to collect their children by 2:00 p.m. When the child could not be located upon pickup, the matter was immediately reported to the Barclayville City Police Station.

Police officers launched a search after the report was officially recorded in the station’s occurrence book.

The search later led to the child being found alive, bringing relief to family members and the wider community.

Authorities say investigations are ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding the child’s temporary disappearance, while reminding parents, guardians, and school authorities to maintain strict child-pickup procedures.
