Executive Mansion Says “The Conversation Focused On Matters Of Mutual Interest, Including Areas Of Regional Peace And Stability, And Cooperation”

Relishing the Trump call, the Executive Mansion said in a n a press release Monday, December 22, said “the call reflects ongoing interactions between the two countries as Liberia advances its national agenda…”
Back in July this year during the White House visit, the CNN reported “Trump asked Boakai: “Such good English, it’s beautiful. Where did you learn to speak so beautifully?” Trump praises ‘good English’ of Liberian president, prompting criticism across Africa | CNN
It was further reported that President Boakai informed Trump of his place of education, prompting Trump to express his curiosity.
“That’s very interesting,” he said, “I have people at this table who can’t speak nearly as well.” Trump praises ‘good English’ of Liberian president, prompting criticism across Africa | CNN
Monday’s phone call from Trump to Boakai is beginning to spark debate on local radio stations, with some joining the ruling Unity Party administration in relishing the development, while critics of the government feel it should be celebrating deliverance of good government and improving the wellbeing of ordinary Liberian citizens.
